(without working harder, playing politics, or compromising your family, life or soul)
Even if you’re a top performer in your current job, you can…
Make a lot more money. Those that rise to management and executive ranks, often make exponentially more money. You can use that money to ease burdens at home, provide more for yourself and your family, and invest in yourself and your future.
Work less (or at least the same). People that are the best leaders do not necessarily work more. In fact, they often work less and instead spend their time wisely, investing in the people around them to support and help do the work as a team. Most importantly, they get rewarded with the ultimate gratification of helping others grow and thrive.
Get more opportunities. With each advancement, your resume and reputation stands out even more to HR, recruiters and hiring managers. This means that with each promotional step you make, it gets even easier to keep rising.
The metrics for success are different. When you first started working, you were measured on your individual contributions. You crushed it. And then no one ever told you – straight up - the things that got you success in the past, won’t get you promoted to the big job. Most people have this issue. They learn they can be a superhero individual contributor. But those things that made them that superhero, are the very same things that will absolutely prevent them from being a great leader.
You’ve been sold a “bill of goods” on what it takes to be a senior leader. Senior leaders put on a good show. There are many out there that treat rising to the level they’re at like they’re in a fraternity or sorority. They may have made sacrifices to get there – giving up vacations, moving their family, becoming someone they’re not. I’m here to tell you that many times this is either a façade. And if it isn’t, I want you to know that you can do the job your own way. You don’t have to sacrifice everything. You just need to be a great leader.
You believe (or wish) there is a well-subscribed set of steps – jobs to take, qualifications to have, etc. The path to success is not the same for any one person. Instead it’s about standing out, inspiring people, taking chances, and so many other small but impactful steps that then open up the world of opportunities for new and exciting positions and jobs.
You know you need to shift your focus. That’s easy.
The hard part is changing your focus almost 180 degrees from CRANKING OUT THE WORK to inspiring others to FOLLOW you.
You read books and articles that coach you in your career. You attend the trainings that your company provides. You network with others and make it clear that you want more.
The motivation you have to do the things to advance yourself is often squashed because you’re overwhelmed with deadlines, meetings and emails.
Meanwhile, you watch others around you get tapped for new and bigger jobs. You feel like you could do these jobs too.
You may not have the practical steps necessary to stand out. You likely don’t have someone coaching you that has actually practiced what they’ve preached. You probably don’t have a full-on support system to help you make the positive change necessary.
Working myself to the bone – late nights, missed deadlines and a complete lack of clarity as to how to get out and move up. In fact, I was a complete failure in my first career.
You’re also not alone...
In fact, I still have friends that haven’t slowed down for a hot second and adjusted their approach…that haven’t switched their focus from being superhuman at work and instead started focusing on being a great leader.
No matter who you are, what level you are at in your career or where you’d like to go
The people that make it up the corporate ladder are not necessarily those that worked the hardest, have the best education or even look the part.
In fact, I would argue that I was the farthest thing from any of these.
But I was able to create an incredible brand, reputation and career that gave people a sense of curiosity, trust and inspiration. I was never known as the smartest or hardest working person in the company. But I become one of the most sought after leaders.
The approach I took allowed me to increase my annual income over 1300% over the 22 years I worked in the corporate world. It allowed me to invest in support for my family, savings for my children, a 2nd home for our family, and vacations to places I never thought I could afford.
Most importantly, it allowed me to make a positive impact on thousands of people. It allowed me to feel incredibly fulfilled in my job. And ultimately, it allowed me the experience, financial freedom and inspiration to leave the corporate world and help millions of others like you.
You've worked hard and delivered at work in so many ways. You just haven’t had the ongoing coaching, inspiring, real-life stories, tangible practice steps, and ultimately the community support you need to make SYSTEMIC change.
You need more. And less. I learned along the way that the best way to make long-lasting change was to be a part of an inspiration PLATFORM; a multi-faceted support system that inspires people to not just make change, but ensures they continue to practice change every single day.
The problems with so many career and leadership solutions out there are:
I'm a small-town girl that doesn’t have one single business person in my family. I went to public schools. I even failed at my first career as an Actuary.
Not only did I have incredible career success, I also impacted thousands of people along the way. People that went from underdog status to rising up and getting promoted several times.
And just when MY career was going the best it possibly could – I left.
I also left because I was frustrated by the crap in the corporate world. I cringed at the lack of diversity, authenticity and inspiration in the senior ranks.
That I could teach others that were more diverse, fun and “normal” the tips I know can help you get noticed, promoted and claim your seat with the “big boys”.
And I also knew that not everyone could find or afford what I could afford...
It can skyrocket the career and life of anyone that understands that he or she owns their own destiny.
I designed it for people like you that are incredibly talented, but feel lost, frustrated or just flat-out fed up with the path you see and that you’re on.
It hasn’t bridged the diversity gap.
It hasn’t stopped the insanity of people working themselves to the bone.
“Normal” hasn’t made employees feel engaged and inspired to do more than they thought possible.
In this first module, I will set the stage for the work to come – what you can expect, and what not to expect.
You will also be coached to set your intentions. This is the simplest and most important step you’ll take. I believe strongly in the concept of manifestation – that is, when you clearly define your intentions, goals and outcomes – it is nearly impossible not to achieve them.
Module Highlights:
After watching the video lessons, you will answer some simple but powerful questions that will set the current and end state vision as to what you want to get from the workshop.
In this module, I will coach you on familiar things, in an unfamiliar way. We will talk about how to think about the term “networking” in a whole new way, by focusing on how to make authentic connections in every interaction you have.
Module Highlights:
I will also demystify the concept of “office politics”, which is a massive limiting belief for so many people. I hear it all of the time, “I can’t go further in my career. I’m just not any good at the politics thing.” We will discuss how to think about this differently and work on changing your mindset so these two dirty words don’t become a barrier to your success.
Lastly, we’ll talk about Mentors and Sponsors. You’ve likely heard of mentors, but I will talk about them using powerful, different terminology that will open up your eyes to a whole new world of people that can help you rise. I will also be sure you understand what a Sponsor is…and what an all-too-important-but-rarely-discussed Anti-Sponsor is. And of course, we’ll work on how you can be sure to maximize all of these people as you work on your career journey.
Things start to heat up here, and we don’t look back. In this module, we talk about the single biggest, career-boosting strategy I took – taking on reach assignments.
Module Highlights:
I will give you inspiring stories and very tangible steps you can take to start (or continue) to take on new work, projects, and jobs that stretch you until you’re about 50% uncomfortable. And I promise, you’ll never bend back.
We also tackle the concept of making mistakes. But I don’t just say things like, “Failures are the only way to succeed…blah, blah.” I talk about how lucky you are if you make mistakes and what you can do to capitalize on that luck.
This is the fun stuff! If you’re not standing out, you’re blending in. And that’s not fun.
We tackle the 3 most powerful building blocks for leadership and how critical it is to practice these well before you’re a manager (and it’s also never too late).
Module Highlights:
I will also do some straight talk about how critical it is to communicate with senior leaders in the right way. You can be the best employee ever, but if you can’t nail this, I’m sorry to say your career growth is limited. It’s sad but true.
We also dive deep into another one of my secret weapons to success – storytelling. I debunk the myths (hint: it’s not just for the big stage or extroverts), the science and power behind storytelling, and finally, I give you my five proven categories for storytelling. Then I put you to work, building your own story library.
All the things we learned up to this point are all for nothing, if you don’t have the guts and discipline to focus on yourself.
Module Highlights:
We have a LOT of fun in one of these lessons (you won’t believe the sh*t I think of doing sometimes to make a point). And it will leave you with permission to stop only doing things for others…especially you “mom types”.
We also talk about setting boundaries for yourself. Guess what? You are the only person that will do this. I give you very small, practical tips to implement and build upon. This might even be the most important lesson there is.
You didn’t think I’d leave you hanging, did you? In this module I walk you through a 3-step process to prepare and ask for the promotion you deserve.
Module Highlights:
Or not quite sure your next step is in the company you’re in? I also lead a lesson about the most strategic way to look for your next job. And most importantly, what NOT to focus on in that process as well (eh-hem – other people’s opinions).
In this final module, I bring full-on Coach Erin to the lessons to ensure you’re inspired and accountable to take what you’ve learned and keep it going. I give you my own, weird-a$$ version of “Win one for the Gipper” speech and also talk about other ways we can continue to kick each other in the pants towards more and more success!
This toolkit is a nicely packaged document to reference. It contains my top 10 strategies that helped me rise in my career. I also throw in a handy 2-page checklist so you can check things off your “ta-da” list!
I am a podcast junkie, and I attribute over 50% of my success in heading out on a path less traveled to information and inspiration I’ve gotten from podcasts. I have literally listened to thousands of episodes, and I carefully curated my top 10 for you to enjoy.
Yep – humility is my middle name. I knew when I created this workshop, a blooper real was likely to emerge. And boy did it. I will share with you a video of all of my not-so-brilliant moments.

I am convinced it will not only boost your career, but it will also get you out of the hamster wheel you’re likely in today, where you just keep working harder and harder, without the reward matching the effort.
Can you imagine a life where you’re no longer working like a dog, but instead you start getting the promotions you deserve, without selling your soul?
I know because I’ve been where you are. And I also know that changing my approach and focusing on what I teach in b BRILLIANT was 100% of the reason I became a corporate executive.
If I can do it, I can’t think of any reason you can’t.
And it’s not just about me. I can only give you so much.
That’s what I’ve provided both the actionable worksheets and pulled together a community of people just like you that are ready to learn from each other, inspire each other, and cheer each other on.
But here’s the thing. I would hate for you not to get the success I know you can have.
By the end of the first 14 days, you’ll have had a chance to go through a few of the lessons and determine if you have what it takes to implement this kind of change for yourself.
If you nodded your head to at least three of the above, then b BRILLIANT is exactly the solution for you.

Maybe it’ll help if I tee up the most-asked questions before enrolling in this workshop:
Ah yes, I’ve been there too. Unlike others, this course is light, airy, bite-sized…and it includes splashes of unexpected humor, which will actually have you curious and excited to watch and participate. The online group will also give you a whole bunch of “Accountabili-buddies” to keep you motivated at on track (and yes, I’ll be there too).
This will help! I teach the value of so many things that will help you break away from those that are blocking you and set off on your own course.
Most definitely not. Some of the things I teach in this course, I didn’t learn until I was in my 40s! It is never too late to grab ahold of your career…your life, and make it more than it is today.
To be blunt, I would say that you don’t have the time to NOT take this workshop. First of all, the video lessons won’t take more than 30 minutes a week. Secondly, I will teach you in the workshop how to get off that non-stop treadmill and start investing in yourself and your career.
One, the workshop is time released but it’s also there for you to do at your pace. The first online workshop I took I was way behind, but when I finished it, I got so much value from it. Also, the course will be offered again sometime in the fall of 2019, however I don’t have a specific date for it yet. The price of the course will increase in the fall.
Look, I totally get it. The workshop will still be massively helpful without joining the online community. I’d also be happy to hear successes and challenges from you via other channels – email, other social sites like Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
When you add it all up, that’s a value of $???? - who knows what
